The in-person program will occur from Wednesday, January 22, to Thursday, January 23, 2025. It will start at 9 a.m. PT each day and end at 5 p.m. PT each day.  

The virtual program will take place from January 15 to 16, 2025. It will start at 12 p.m. ET and end at 3:30 p.m. ET, with optional networking from 3:30 to 4 pm).

Yes! We offer a 15% discount ticket price for groups of three or more.

This discount is available only if one person purchases all the tickets at one time. No partial refund is available for individuals eligible for a group who already purchased a ticket.  If you want to add more tickets later, contact us and we'll offer you the same price as the original group.

Group discounts cannot be combined with other discounts.

Yes! While each person does need to register for the event, we can provide a link to purchase groups of tickets by one person and with one credit card.

We collect essential information and consents as part of the registration process, as well as directions and guidance about the event. Please make sure that each person is registered in their own name and not by an assistant or other person.

Yes! We offer a student price for virtual tickets. Full-time students of accredited universities are eligible if the university email is used to purchase the tickets. 

Note that student tickets are not eligible for CLE credit.

Student tickets are only transferable to a full-time student verified by How to Contract. If the transferee does not, an additional payment is due at the time of transfer.

We will review student ticket holders. If your LinkedIn shows that you are not a full-time student, then we may contact you for additional proof.  We reserve the right to refund purchases if we determine you do not meet the criteria.

Yes! Full-time employees of nonprofits, universities, and governments are eligible for discounted price if the employer email is used to purchase the tickets. 

This discount cannot be combined with other discounts.

Tickets purchased with this discount are transferable to others that meet the criteria. If the transferee does not, an additional payment for the then-current regular price ticket is due at the time of transfer.

In-person tickets are non-refundable under any circumstances. Virtual tickets are non-refundable except as provided by our Happiness Guarantee outlined on this page.

Only paid ticket holders can participate in our community engagement for this event.

We have decided to apply for CLE and CPD credits in all U.S. states (other than Hawaii) and in all provinces that require CPD.

Some states may require self-study or  an attorney application or come through reciprocity.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE ADVICE OR INFORMATION ABOUT CLE REQUIREMENTS IN DIFFERENT STATES. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR STATE BAR WITH ANY QUESTIONS.

We expect to offer 6 hours of CLE in the virtual program and 10.5 hours of CLE in the in-person program. The exact number you receive depends on several factors:

- How your state calculates CLE hours

- For in-person ticket holders, your signature on the CLE attendance and certification form before leaving the program

 For virtual ticket holders, you must (a) follow the directions and track the applicable code word for every 30 minutes of programming and (b) submit the request no later than February 6, 2025. For some states, we have to report attendance within 30 days, so a timely submission is required.

The recordings will be available within two weeks after the event. 

We are providing everyone with access to the recordings of the virtual program through December 31, 2025.

The answer depends on your jurisdiction. We do not monitor or track how much of the on-demand programs are watched. Some states allow CLE for watching untracked on-demand programs while others do not.  If your state requires it, then there is no CLE available for the on-demand viewing.
